AIRIC.ch is more than thirty years of experience in tandem flight.

Who has never dreamed of flying?
You may have hesitated to do so, or perhaps you have already flown and were disappointed. If so, it is with great pleasure that I will do my best to make this experience possibly include one problem: that you won’t want to come down and never stop.
A little information for those who think that this activity is not for them. I have experience managing people with disabilities, I love to please in the air, and I relish the challenges.
No specific preparation is required, you just need shoes and seasonal clothes.
Depending on the weather, I offer free flights, hiking flights with landing at altitude or, during the winter, discovery days with skis in the area of Zermatt-Cervinia.

Price list for the various opportunities

Prices for hiking flights vary, depending on the take-off location and the route.
Helicopter flights from Zermatt to some of the peaks in the region are possible, and we will gladly pick you up after a hike or a ski tour.
Prices for these flights depend on the season, the take-off site and the guide.

Riffelberg-Blauherd-Schwarzsee 170.-
Rothorn-Gornergrat 220.-
Klein Matterhorn 380.-
Photos and videos 40.-

Not only in Zermatt…

For people who want to fly to a site near their home, we can do this with local pilots. Le Suchet, Villars sur Ollon, Leysin or Les Diablerets, for example. Organization and price per agreement.

Licensed pilots

The price for the accompaniment of licensed pilots is 120.00 CHf per person, the ideal is 3 to 5 pilots. (with radio)
Speed rider days are 500.00 CHf per day for up to five people, with the possibility of flying tandem

For everyone

Discover tandem flight, with a choice of the take-off site depending on updraft for a trip through the regional valleys. We fly over glaciers surrounded by peaks of over 4000 m. With a bit of luck, we can meet wild animals. I know a few places where we can see them… .

The price of these flights is determined by the takeoff site and the route. The duration of the flight is not relevant.

For licensed pilots

Pilots with a bit of cross country experience can participate in accompanied flight days to flirt with the Matterhorn. From Zermatt, it looks like the mountain is right next door, but the approach is quite complex. Flying over it is rarely possible, and that’s why it’s so magical. But to go along one of its faces or around the Matterhorn is already magnificent.

There are four glaciers to fly over on the way to the Matterhorn, between Zermatt and the Dent Blanche. We are in high mountains inhabited by ibex, chamois, and those who watch out for them, our friends the eagles and the bearded vultures.

Speed riding

During the winter, you can be accompanied in the Zermatt area when speed riding. In fact, I prefer the term assisted freeriding, as the experience is more like skiing than flying, depending on the terrain.

After having tested the drops a good hundred times without any problem with many pilots, I propose initiations in groups of two, if possible. We start with a course that explains folding the glider, to put it in the D-bag before going to have fun by testing the release.

Mastering the stall is necessary for the sake of safety. Having done an SIV is highly recommended

My friend Eric Viret is the paragliding alien!

He speaks little when you go flying with him, but when he finds himself in the air under a sail, this is where all of his qualities are expressed.

He was a test paraglider, tester of new sails where he learned to go to the limits equipment and flight conditions, which makes it still comfortable where the paraglider normal is already in its red zone …

He flies a lot and knows the currents inside out to make the best use of them, with this “great feeling” which often leads him even higher than the summit of the Matterhorn, in tandem or solo. I have already entrusted him with my mum and my wife in flight, and I wish everyone to be able to live this paragliding experience with Eric, which transforms the sky into a huge and magnificent playground.

AIRIC.ch is Eric Viret

I was a high-level sportsman on the Swiss ski team, preferring downhill until 1983. I then switched to motocross, like many former downhillers. I stopped because of cost, which was beyond my means.
Thanks to a friend, in 1989 I turned to paragliding, which helped me enjoy the freedom and adrenaline that I was addicted to.
I acquired my FSVL license no. 21134 in early 1990, and my tandem license at the end of 1991.
In 1991 I started working for Asagiri SA, importer and repairer of flight equipment including Falhawk, a Japanese brand for which I became a test pilot for prototypes. My many years as a test pilot contributed to a considerable increase in both abilities and confidence.
As a paraglider, mini glider and speed riding glider developer, I also worked on the D-bag, a system that allows you to start from a hot air balloon, a helicopter or even an aeroplane.
I developed a special chair so that paraplegics can also enjoy paragliding. This contributed to good dynamics, especially in France, where the development continued.
Now I love to show my passengers why, for me, this has become more than a hobby or a job, but a way of life. In Zermatt since 2015, I worked with Air Taxi until September 2021.

Words are good, but living the dream is better…
